 Job Description
 
Responsibilities
Help write and optimize in-application SQL statements.
Reviewing query performance and optimizing code.
Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases.
Prepare documentations and specifications.
Handle common database procedures such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
Profile server resource usage, and optimize and tweak as necessary
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications.
Designing and coding database tables to store the application’s data.
Data modelling to visualize database structure.
Creating database triggers for automation, e.g., automatic email notifications.
Creating table indexes to improve database performance.
Programming views, stored procedures, and functions.

Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in SQL and its variation among popular databases.
Experience with some of the modern relational databases.
Skilled at optimizing large complicated SQL statements.
Knowledge of best practices when dealing with relational databases.
Capable of configuring popular database engines and orchestrating clusters as necessary.
Ability to plan resource requirements from high level specifications.
Any Python experience is highly preferred.
Oracle DB certification is required.
Capable of troubleshooting common database issues.
Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science or relevant field.
