Experience and Background
The target candidate will have:
• 5-8 years proficiency on professional projects using most of the relevant technologies
• Ability to work in a team environment and/or directly with clients
• Demonstrable proficiency speaking, reading, and writing in English (USA)
• Analytical thinking and ability to communicate with team member and management to explain complex issues clearly and concisely and in non-technical language
• Ability to provide and communicate logical, analytical and creative approach to problems solving
• Ability to write concise and accurate documentation and instructions for non-technical users
• Ability to work both independently or collaboratively in teams
• Ability to write clean, documented, and maintainable code
• Ability to work under deadlines on multiple assignments
• Strong reporting habits throughout project life cycle
• Demonstrable knowledge of software engineering, computer programming, relational database design and usage, and relevant technologies
• Demonstrable skill with SQL and must be proficient enough to understand and provide database cogent feedback about database design, interaction, performance considerations, and troubleshooting techniques
• Experience with RESTful and SOAP service consumption and design
• Demonstrable familiarity with various programming paradigms: object oriented, functional, imperative, procedural, event-driven, etc.
• Understand security best practices regarding but not limited to software applications, user input, and system access
• Ability to understand and de-bug code written by others, possibly with very little knowledge transfer
• Demonstrable Understanding of client/server and internet systems architectures
