It operates as a neutral service bureau aggregating multiple banks, billing companies and other corporations onto a common standards-based platform for delivering electronic payments and collection services across multiple electronic channels.

Their Product manages these services across a range of access channels viz. Internet Banking, ATM Banking, Tele Banking, Mobile Banking etc. The Payment Gateway services of our Client enable customers to pay online using either their electronic banking accounts or credit cards.
 

 Job Description
 

Work Location: Mumbai (Andheri-W).

We are looking for experienced Oracle database administrators to join our team. Ideal candidates should be interested in and passionate about working on multiple cutting edges database technologies to solve complex scalability , database security and availability challenges. You will be working with our engineering and support team towards troubleshooting issues, evaluate new tools and technologies, design solutions, write automation scripts to build, configure and upgrade databases, performance tuning, resource management, disaster recovery, ensure data security and integrity to meet internal standards, PCI and SOX compliance and provide user support.
Job Responsibilities
• Build and configuring databases, apply patches and upgrade existing databases to new versions or platforms.
• On call production support, troubleshooting, opening support tickets with vendors.
• Database monitoring and Performance tuning to ensure security, stability, scalability and availability of database clusters on multiple technologies including Oracle with terabytes of data and multi millions of messages per day.
• Develop scripts and jobs to automate database management functions including data loads, database builds, maintenance, tuning and monitoring of databases.
• Provide support to software engineers and data architects with database changes, troubleshooting and testing new database features.
• Evaluating and testing new database technologies and tools to meet growing challenges.
• Set up and maintain viable database backups. Maintain and test failover and disaster recovery procedures.
• Managing user privileges as per policy and standards ensure security compliance.
• Develop and maintain database deployment standards and best practices.
Requirements
• Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent with over 4-7+ years working experience on Oracle databases, preferrably in Banking / Fintech environment.
• Experience configuring, monitoring, troubleshooting and tuning Oracle databases for high availability in a 24x7 environment
• Experience with Automating cluster node provisioning and repetitive operational tasks using Ansible ,Chef or similar tools
• Experience tuning and troubleshooting SQL’s and query performance.
• Good to have exposure / working knowledge of multiple other SQL and NoSQL database technologies including MySQL, Shareplex, Oracle Financials, MongoDB, Cassandra or Hadoop a definite plus
• Good to have working knowledge of Linux shell scripting, scheduling cron jobs, basic troubleshooting etc. Knowledge of Perl or Python for scripting preferred.
• Strong communication skills to understand the problem completely and explain design solutions effectively with technical teams and gain broad agreement.
