 Job Description
Key tasks include:
_ Before commencing development Understanding customers business requirements Understanding current system functionality Development
_ Understanding proposed high level solutions / designs Design of customizations to core BSS products like CRM, Mediation, Rating, Billing, Bill Printing, Credit Control, Provisioning, etc
_ Design of new R&D features to add to our product suite Design of data model changes
_ Development of customizations to our products Conduct Code reviews Support Bug Fixing _ Testing
_ Unit testing of customizations/additions to our core product suite Supporting testing team and resolving issues _ Release
_ Supporting build & release team by providing any additional build and release instructions
We are seeking candidates who are from a computer science background. The ideal candidate will have at 3 to 4-years software development experience with strong technical, analytical, interpersonal, problem solving and communication
skills. Experience of working in the Telecoms industry would be an added advantage.
Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in technical solution design and solution
development for high user footprint software solutions based on Java related
technologies Competencies/capabilities – technical/professional
Minimum technical skills required:
Good technical skills with development experience in –
· OOP concepts, Java, J2EE, Web Services, EJB, Hibernate, Java Scripts
· Application Server like JBOSS/10gAS
· Oracle 11g or above · Excellent RDBMS concepts, SQL and PL/SQL knowledge
· Use of a source control system and debugging tools
· Understanding of software development life cycle, Software Design and development experience
· Google Web Toolkit (GWT) UI Development and experience in web technology
· C, PRO*C on UNIX
· Knowledge of Telecom Domain - Exposure to working on other Mediation/Billing/Online Charging products
· Product and process-oriented development experience
